I am the founder of Rising Lotus Inc. and the author of the Rising Lotus Yoga training manual. Rising Lotus Yoga is a 300-hour yoga teacher training program, and the featured yoga at Detox Oasis, a wellness ranch in French Lick IN, and Thera-Ranch retreat center in Joshua Tree CA. I am also a massage therapist and an aquatic bodyworker.
I began practicing hot vinyasa in Northern CA in 1998. I completed my first YTT, a 300-hour Iyengar program at Heartwood Institute in 2001. In 2007, I completed my second YTT, a power vinyasa training at Frog Lotus Yoga in North Adams MA.
I currently teach classes at local yoga studios, volunteer as the wellness coach for the H.L. Neblett community Center in Owensboro, and run and teach the Rising Lotus Yoga Teacher Training Program and work as workshop facilitator for Weight Watchers.
Holistic Hatha
We will review the principles of Patanjali’s eight limbs of yoga. We will discuss how to identify and use those principles when we practice Hatha Yoga. We will practice a slow meditative flow focusing on concentration, breath control, and patience. We will close with the peace mantra.
