Laura Mickler

Laura is an ever-learning student of yoga and the benefits to our minds and bodies. Her yoga journey started over 10 years ago. She found her passion for yoga in the mental & spiritual parts of understanding your body & the miraculous things it can do. Laura has been a trained teacher for 5 years and has owned Sacred Steps Yoga in Muncie, Indiana for just over 1 year.

She adores yoga, breath and the community people can connect to in a yoga space. She focuses on slower practices, such as Yin or Restorative. For me, I find those practices
to better equip me to heal my mind and refocus when life is chaos.

Yoga has also deepened her connection to the earth and all it can offer and teach
us. Laura ends her classes honoring the sky above, the earth below & the peace within.

Restore and Connect

This restorative practice focuses on opening, healing and connecting to yourself. Postures are held for 30+ breaths to allow the body to relax. A guided mediation is offered at the end.

The Labyrinth as a Healing Tool

The labyrinth shape is found in almost every major religion in the world and dates back through history. This workshop allows us to explore the labyrinth in all it’s forms as a meditation, healing and divination tool. After learning about labyrinths, Laura will provide a mobile labyrinth to be walked in prayer as well as some self-work drawing/sketching/crafting a labyrinth.
